Novish burger with vegan ravigote sauce

What do you need?

You can choose to buy ready-made hamburger buns or another tasty bun, but you can also make your own hamburger bun yourself!

Ingredients for hamburger bun:

  • 250 g patent flour
  • 125 ml water (tepid)
  • 50 ml sunflower oil
  • 2 tablespoons of butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • ½ sachet of yeast (dried)
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • sesame seeds
  • extra sunflower oil
  •  

Ingredients for the Burger topping:

  • 2 Novish Burgers
  • head of lettuce
  • tomatoes
  • cucumber
  • gherkin
  • grated carrot
  • onion
  • vegan ravigote sauce

How to prepare it?

  • Mix the water, sugar and yeast in a mixing bowl and let it stand for a few minutes until it starts to foam.

  • Add the flour and mix in a mixer or food processor with a dough hook until smooth. Continue mixing or kneading for about 15 minutes. Add the sunflower oil and salt evenly while kneading.

  • Grease a new mixing bowl with sunflower oil and place the dough ball in it. Cover and leave it to rest for about an hour.

  • After the dough has rested for at least an hour, you can divide it into 6 equal balls on a greased counter. Place the balls on a piece of baking paper and cover. Now the balls can rise for another half an hour.

  • Meanwhile, preheat the oven to 220 degrees.

  • After the balls have rested for half an hour, brush them with water. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the buns. Place the balls on baking paper and put in the oven for 15-20 minutes.

  • Remove the buns from the oven and let them cool for a while.

  • Now prepare the Novish burgers in a pan. Place the pan on a medium heat and add a little oil. Bake the Novish burgers for about 8 minutes, turning regularly.

  • Meanwhile, cut the vegetables for the burger. Cut the lettuce into thin strips, the tomatoes, cucumber and gherkins into fine slices, grate the carrot and cut the onion into rings.

  • Place the Novish burger on the bun and top with the different vegetables. Round off with a delicious vegan ravigote sauce.
